What is Artificial Intelligence?Artificial Intelligence AOI is a system that can identify different PCB objects, measure them and make decision about their quality without human support.
What is it different than other systems? Some common AOI systems follow a well prepared set of simple rules, and if the PCB does not follow those rules the AOI will alarm a defect. In order to make the process more stable the rules become less strict and defect may be missed or false alarm will increase. AI-AOI system can adjust itself to PCB etching variations and improve it's performance from scan to scan if taught.
What is the benefit? High stability of the inspection process and low amount of false alarms. Missing rate is kept on low level even when lot characteristics are being unstable. Factors such as material finish change, cleaning method change, and line width change will not affect the product's performance.
