Eurotech PLC orders equipment

Eurotech orders equipment from Viking.

Eurotech, one of Europe's largest and most prominent PCB manufactures and a full service provider, will upgrade its production capability by installing a Strip-Etch-Strip line, Micro Etch line, vertical Desmear line and drill and routing machines from Viking Test Ltd. in January 2010.

The wet process lines are considered some of the finest available and can handle thin cores from 0.05 mm to 5 mm thickness. The lines have been designed with the environment in mind and have many advanced features that will save power and increase running efficiency. All pumps and motors have been selected to give the best efficiency, while the tank chambers are manufactured from a specially designed material that will decrease heat consumption and save power. Spray bars have a unique quick release design to minimize operator maintenance time and glass tops feature a double layer to further save heat loss.

The drilling machines will be equipped with a 200k RPM spindle that can drill sub-0.1 mm holes and utilizes the latest S&M 84.00 controller. The system also has broken drill detection (BDD), laser tool check (LTC) and Z-axis control for machining buried and blind vias.
